Green Moong Rava Dosa

Crispy on the outside and soft inside, this easy Green Moong Rava Dosa recipe is perfect for busy mornings, lunch boxes, or light dinners. Ingredients
  • Green Moong Rava Dosa
    Chiroti Rava-1 cup
  • Soaked Green Mong- 1 cup
  • Coriander Leaves-few finely chopped
  • Green Chilies-3-4
  • Jeera- few
  • salt - as per taste
  • Water
  • Oil/Ghee-for making dosa










Method 

  1. Clean, wash and soak the Green Moong in a bowl with water. Leave it overnight.

  2. Next day, in a blender, add the soaked moong. Grind it together to form a smooth batter. Add this to a bowl, next add chiroti rava and mix ,the consistency of the batter should be similar to that of regular dosa batter.

  3. Add the remaining items-coriander leaves, chilies, salt, jeera and mix well.

    Leave for 30 mins
  4. Heat a dosa tawa over medium heat.

  5. Once the tawa is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa.

  6. Spread the batter evenly in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.

  7. Drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges of the Moong dosa

    and cook until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp.
  8. Flip the dosa and cook till done.


Serve crispy Green Moong Rava Dosa hot with chutney of your choice.

Spicy Sabudana Dosa

Sabudana Dosa is healthy, nutritious and filling breakfast. Easy to make and enjoyed hot. This dish combines sabudana with regular rice and a hint of spice to create a dosa that’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with flavor


 
Rice flour 1 cup  
Sabudana-1/2 cup soaked
Salt as per taste
Oil
Jeera-1 tsp
Chiroti Rava-1/4 cup
Water


To Grind
Coconut-1/4 cup
Red chilies-8-9
Tamarind juice - 1 tbsp
Hing: Pinch






Method:

Grind soaked Sabudana well. Next in a bowl add rice flour, chiroti rava, sabudana mix, water and mix to form a batter. Next In a pan, fry the items mentioned in to grind. Blend it in mixer with less water. Next in a bowl, take the batter, add the ground paste. Add salt. Mix really well. Heat a dosa tawa over medium heat. Once the tawa is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa. Spread the batter evenly in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.

Drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges of the dosa

and cook until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp. Flip the dosa and cook till done. Serve this khara Sabudana dosa hot with chutney of your choice.

Toor Dal Dosa

Toordal Dosa is a protein rich dosa. Made with soaked Togari bele or toor dal and rice with spices and coconut this dosa is tasty and delicious.

Toor Dal Dosa

🥣 Ingredients

  • ½ cup Chiroti rava (fine rava / sooji)
  • 1/2 cup rice (soaked) 
  • ½ cup toor dal (soaked)
  • 1–2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Red chilies-3-4
  • coconut- 1/4 cup
  • Pepper-1/2 tsp
  • Water – as needed for batter








👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Grind soaked toor dal, rice, jeera, coconut, pepper corn, red chilies.

  2. In a mixing bowl, add the batter, add rava, and salt and mix well.

  3. Gradually pour in water and mix well to form a smooth, dosa batter.

  4. Let the batter rest for 15–20 minutes.

  5. Heat a tava or skillet on medium flame. Grease lightly with oil.

  6. Pour the batter and spread it evenly in a circular motion.

  7. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook until crisp and golden brown.

  8. Flip and cook the other side.

Serve Toor Dal Dosa hot with chutney, sambar, or enjoy it plain.

Tomato Adai Dosa

Ingredients

Moong dal+Tur dal+Urad dal-
Adai Dosa
Tomato Adai Dosa


Chana dal 1/2 cup

Rice -1 1/2 cups

Pepper-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1 tsp

Salt-as per taste

Red chillies-5-6

Hing-a pinch

Soaked Methi seeds-few


Ginger-small piece


Tomatoes-3 chopped

curry leave/coriander -for garnishing

Chiroti Rava-1 tsp


 Method-  Soak rice/dals separately for 5-6 hrs. Next grind with pepper, jeera, salt, red chilies, hing, ginger, soaked methi seeds and mix well. Leave overnight. Next day, add the curry leaves/coriander leaves, grind chopped tomatoes in the mixer. Add the mix into the dosa batter. Mix really well. Heat a dosa tawa over medium heat. Once the tawa is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa. Spread the batter evenly in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.

Drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges of the Tomato adai dosa

and cook until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp. Flip the dosa and cook till done.

Serve Tomato Adai Dosa hot with butter and  chutney / chutney pudi/ sauce of your choice  and you’ve got a complete meal that’s both satisfying and nourishing.

Onion Kulith Dosa

Onion Kulith Dosa  is another dosa variety that can be made with wholesome horse gram - an interesting protein-rich and high-fiber, dosa for brunch or breakfast for a busy day.

Incorporating Onion Kulith dosa into your diet can be a nutritious and delicious way to enjoy the health benefits of this legume while adding variation to your meals.  

  •  Chiroti Rava-1 cup
  • Soaked Horse gram- 1 cup
  • Coriander Leaves-few finely chopped
  • Onion-2 finely chopped
  • Green Chilies-3-4
  • Jeera- few
  • salt - as per taste

  • Oil/Ghee-for making dosa

Method 

  1. Clean, wash and soak the horse gram/Kulith in a bowl with water. Leave it overnight.

  2. Next day, in a blender, add the soaked horse gram. Grind it together to form a smooth batter. Add this to a bowl, next add chiroti rava and mix ,the consistency of the batter should be similar to that of regular dosa batter.

  3. Add the remaining items-coriander leaves, chilies, onion, salt, jeera and mix well.

    Leave for 30 mins
  4. Heat a dosa tawa over medium heat.

  5. Once the tawa is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa.

  6. Spread the batter evenly in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.

  7. Drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges of the Kulith/ Hurli dosa

    and cook until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp.
  8. Flip the dosa and cook till done.


Serve crispy Onion Khulith Dosa hot with chutney of your choice.

Sweet Dosa / Sihi Dose

Sweet dosa is  a special dosa prepared during Saraswati Pooja during Dasara festival in Karnataka. A blend of jaggery, cardamom in dosa batter, a perfect and easy desert recipe. Kids will enjoy it.














Sihi Dose

Sihi Dose / Sweet Dosa

  1. Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Poha/avalakki - handful
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Grated Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Elachi pwd - 1-2 tsp


Method:  Soak rice,  poha and methi seeds for few hours. Next grind them in a mixer. Once done, add coconut, jaggery  elachi pwd and grind again so the batter blends well. Keep it for some time. Make dosas. Serve hot with ghee.

Coconut Dosa

Coconut Dosa is simple and easy dosa. Blended with fresh coconut and rice, its delicious. Enjoy hot with chutney powder.


Ingredients:

  • Coconut – 1 cup grated
  • Rice-2 cups (soaked well)
  • Poha-handful (soaked)
  • Oil – for making dosa
  • Salt as per taste
Method: Grind soaked rice and poha into smooth batter. Next add salt and coconut and mix well. Let it aside for 1-2 hrs. Spread dosa batter on the tawa, add oil for making dosa. Slowly flip over and let it cook on the other side.

Serve hot with chutney or chutney powder.
