Orange and Mint Mojito

Nothing beats the heat like a cool, tangy, and refreshing drink – and what better way to kick off your day or wind down in the evening than with a vibrant Orange and Mint Mojito? This drink was a try out by my elder one during her summer break! And its the season of Oranges! 

This zesty twist on the classic mojito combines the citrusy sweetness of orange and the refreshing burst of mint, creating a drink that’s invigorating and delicious. 

Perfect for hot days or a relaxing moment, this mocktail will be your new go-to when you need a cooling sip.

Lets learn how to make this interesting mojito!


Ingredients

1. 4 oranges 
(deseeded, squeezed and pulp free juice)
2. 3/4 lemon wedges
3. 0.25 tsp chaat masala
4. 0.25 tsp salt
5. 1.5 tbsp sugar
6. 0.25 tsp grated ginger
7. 2.5 glasses of water
8. 8-10 ice cubes
9. 5-6 mint leaves


Method

1. add all ingredients except for the ice cubes in a blender
2. adjust the quantity of salt, chaat masala, 
and grated ginger to control the spice and tang of the mojito
3. blend all ingredients, and add ice cubes.
4. refrigerate the mojito, and serve chilled.

Mocktail
Orange and Mint Mojito


Optional: Line the edges of the serving glasses with pink Himalayan salt, adjust the other spices to your taste to balance the flavor from the salt.

Slush Time


The amazing sweet lime and orange slush

The saviour to summer !

Try this cool and refreshing slush in summers.

 A very nice way to add awesomeness to your summer.

Ingredients


  • 1 medium orange
  • 1 small sweet lime ( moosambi )
  • Water ( about 2 cups )
  • Sugar - 2 full spoons
  • A tea strainer (washed and clean)
  • Aluminum foil


Serves 2

Method


Before you start make sure you have 3 cups of the same size and make sure your work area is near the sink . Slush is made from juice so you need to first cut the orange and sweet lime in halves and squeeze them separately in different cups. Once you have got the squeezed juice ( its okay if the seeds and the pulp are with the juice ),mix both the juices, take a cup, fill it with water and transfer the squeezed juice via the tea strainer and stir. Add 2 spoons sugar and mix the juice. Once that is done pour the juice equally into 2 cups and cover/ wrap the foil so that the top part of the cup is covered. Let it freeze for 1-2 hours. After freezing remove the newspaper, take a spoon and mush the ice.

Badam Milk

Badam Milk is an easy and delicious drink .This is made from instant MTR Badam mix.Enjoy it hot or cold.



A) Hot Badam Milk

Ingredients

  • Milk - 2 cups
  • MTR Kesar Badam Mix - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - as per taste
  • Saffron - few strands

Method- In a vessel ,boil milk .Simmer and add the Badam mix ,sugar and mix well.Add the saffron strands.Mix and s
erve the Badam Milk warm.



B) Chilled Badam Milk


Ingredients
  • Cold Milk - 2 cups
  • MTR Kesar Badam Mix - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - as per taste
  • Saffron - few strands

Method-In a blender,add milk,Badam pwd,sugar and blend it well.Pour it in tall glasses garnish with saffron and serve chilled.

Almond Dates Milk Shake

Almond Dates Milk Shake is delicious tasty and healthy summer drink for kids. A mix of dryfruits with milk a perfect combination for kids.

Ingredients
  • Dates - 1 cup
  • Almonds - 1/2 cup
  • Cold Milk - 2.5 cups
  • Icecubes-few
  • Sugar - as per taste
Method- 

Chop the dates.
Next add the dates and almonds with little milk to a blender and grind to a smooth paste.
Next add in the ice cubes, sugar  remaining milk and blend well.
Transfer to tall glasses and serve chilled.

  • ice cream – 1 – tbsp
  • ice cubes – Few

Method- In a blender  add the coffee, milk,ice-cream and ice cubes and blend well.Add it in a glass top with ice-cream  and grated chocolate for extra zing.

      • 1 1/2  cupThick Curds / Yogurt
      • 1/2 cup Milk,chilled
      • 2-3 tbsp Sugar
      • 1tsp elachi pwd
      • 1 tbsp Fresh cream
      • Water


      Method: In a juicer , add curds with milk, water, sugar and cardamom powder and blend well. 
      Transfer it in a glass with few icecubes.Add spoonful of fresh cream on the top and serve chilled.


      Cucumber Buttermilk

      Cucumber Buttermilk is a yummy refreshing buttermilk with dash of cucumber or Southekayi. Healthy and tasty.


      Ingredients

      • Cucumber shreds-1 cup
      • Buttermilk-2 cups
      • Ginger -1/2 tsp grated
      • Chat masala-1/2 tsp
      • Green chilly-1 (opt)
      • Hing-pinch
      • Pepper powder-pinch
      • Salt-as per taste
      • Coriander Leaves-few


      Method-In a blender, add the above items and blend it well. Strain this blended buttermilk and add a bit of chaat masala on top and serve chilled.
