Tomato Cheese Sandwich


Tomato Cheese Sandwich is a perfect recipe that can be enjoyed as snack or lunch. A right mix of tomatoes with cheese and seasoning. Kids will love it too.

Ingredients  

Tomato (finely chopped) - 1/2 cup

Pepper pwd-1/2 tsp
 Green chillies(finely chopped) - 2 
 Salt - to taste.
Italian seasoning-to taste
Chaat masala-to taste
Butter
Bread
Mozarella Cheese
Green chutney

Method: 

In a bowl, add tomatoes, green chillies, salt, pepper powder, seasoning in a bowl and mix it well. Next add Mozzarella cheese and mix it again. Take bread slice and apply green chutney and butter. Place this mix on the bread slice, cover this with one more bread slice. Toast it in the toaster. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Besan Aloo Toast

Besan Aloo Toast  is a interesting recipe made from spicy besan batter (gram flour) with potato sabzi topped on bread.  A yummy and crunchy snack is ready in no time.

Ingredients:
Besan/gram flour-1 cup
Besan Bread Toast, Bread Besan toast, Aloo toast
Besan Aloo Toast 

Bread slices-4-5
Green chillies-1-2 (opt)
turmeric pwd-pinch
Hing-pinch
Red chilli pwd-1/4 tsp
Garam masala-1/4 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Carom seeds-1/2 tsp
salt as required
water (mixing the batter)

oil- for frying 


    Method- 
    In a bowl, mix all ingredients except bread and potato sabzi. Add little water and mix well, ensure no lumps are present. Cut the bread into halves. Take the bread slices, apply the potato sabzi on top of it, spread the besan batter on the bread slices, using a knife and spread all over. (or dip the bread in the besan batter ) Next heat oil in a kadai, carefully drop the bread with the batterside. Once it is slightly brown, fry the other side. 
    Serve Besan Aloo Toast hot with chutney or ketchup.

    Aloo Methi Sandwich

    Aloo Methi Sandwich is simple and easy to make.  You can use your left over aloo methi sabzi and make this sandwich.. Else make it fresh.. Methi is loaded with nutrients and is healthy.

      • 2 cups boiled grated potatoes
      • 1 cup- methi finely chopped
      • 1.5 tsp- garam masala
      • 1 tsp-kitchen king masala
      • 8 Bread slices 
      • Butter
      • Salt
      • Green Chutney
      • Ketchup
        Method:  

        Aloo methi sabzi- In a pan, add oil, add jeera,  add the methi leaves and fry well, next add mashed potatoes, add the masala powders, salt and mix well. 

        Take bread, apply butter and  green chutney, smear the aloo methi stuffing, add some chaat masala, cover with another chutney-butter spread bread. 

        Grill in toaster. 

        Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

        1. 8 to 10 slices of bread 
        2. Butter
        3. Grated cheese as required
        4. Italian seasoning-as req
        5. Pepper powder-as req
        6. Herbs for topping
        7. Chili flakes for topping

        Method- Apply butter on the slices. Next top it with grated cheese, sprinkle pepper pwd, italian seasoning, Toast on a tava or oven till the cheese melts. Load with herbs and chili flakes as per taste. Serve hot

        Enjoy hot either plain with chutney or ketchup.

              Method:  Preheat oven for 200 deg.


              In a bowl, take all the veggies, add pepper powder, salt, italian seasoning and mix well.

               next add the mixed veggies, load with shredded cheese on top. 

              Place the tray in the preheated oven for 10 mins or till the cheese melts.

                • Roasted gram dal-hurikadle
                • 1 tsp. tamarind paste
                • Salt to taste

                Method: Grind all the chutney ingredients to a smooth paste with little water. Keep aside.

                Remove the edges of the bread slices, apply butter, apply green chutney, mix capsicum with salt, italian seasoning and add onto the bread. Add some pepper powder. Apply butter, chutney and on 
                another bread slice,  place this on top layer. 

                Toast it and Cut it in any shape and serve.

                    Iyengar Bread Toast
                    • Masala Bread slices
                    • 1 carrot, grated
                    • 1 onion, finely chopped 
                    • 1 small capsicum, finely chopped 
                    • 1  tomato, finely chopped 
                    • chopped coriander leaves
                    • 2 -3 green chillies, finely chopped 
                    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
                    • 1/2 tsp chat masala 
                    • 1/4 tsp Dhania-jeera pwd
                    • Salt as per taste
                    • 2 tsp tomato ketchup
                    • Oil
                    • Butter



                    Method: Heat oil in a pan add jeera, then add finely chopped onions and green chillies and fry. Next add tomatoes and capsicum and fry well till soft. Add grated carrots, red chili powder, chat masala, a pinch of sugar, salt and mix well and cook for a minute. Add chopped coriander and tomato ketchup and mix well. Heat tava and toast bread on one side then apply this mixture liberally on that toasted side. Serve hot.

                    Shahi Tukda

                    Shahi Tukda or Shahi Tukra is an all time favorite at my home. And am sure once you try it you will definitely enjoy it too. It is made by roasting the sweet bread slices in ghee then topped with a thick rabdi and garnished with dry fruits. You can also use Milk bread to make Shahi Tukda. A truly rich bread pudding! Forget the diet for a day and enjoy this delicious dessert!


                    Ingredients


                    Shahi Tukda
                    • 6 slices White sweet bread slices
                    • Ghee for roasting
                    • 1/4 cup Sugar
                    • Few Cardamom crushed
                    • 1 litre Full cream milk
                    • 15-20 strands Saffron
                    • Few almonds and pistachios to garnish


                    Method- First in a thick bottom vessel boil milk. Let it boil it starts thickening. Next add sugar and stir. Keep stirring the cream into the milk so it thickens well. Once done switch off the gas. Add saffron and cardamom powder. 
                    Next cut the corners of sweet bread slices and cut the slices in any desired shape. Next on a tava roast the bread golden brown on both sides. Use ghee while roasting the bread. Now in a serving plate, place the bread. Pour the thickened and sweetened milk over the bread slices. Garnish with almonds and pistachios slivers. You can either serve this royal dessert immediately or set it in fridge and enjoyed chilled.

                    Healthy Burger

                    Healthy Burger is a simple and easy recipe and am sure you all will love to make and enjoy it with your kids. Get their help to assemble the burger and it will a happy family time ! Healthy Burger has a mix of vegetables and aloo patties with cheese a perfect heavy meal. Cheese is for kids though, elders can skip it or enjoy and go for a run! 
                    Ingredients:
                    Aloo tikki burger, healthy burger
                    Healthy Burger
                    • Aloo peas tikki
                    • Mayonniose 
                    •  tomato sauce
                    • Green chutney (ignore for kids)
                    •  burger buns-4
                    •  Cucumber slices (1 for each burger)
                    • capscium slices  (1 for each burger)
                    • tomato slices (1 for each burger)
                    • Onion slices  (1 for each burger)
                    • Cheese slice ( (1 for each burger)
                    Method- Prepare the patties and keep it aside. Cut the burger bun in half and  lightly roast the burger bun with little butter. Apply the sauce on both sides. If you like it spicy apply green chutney. Next start assembling the burger-keep the patties, place tomato, cucumber and onion slices, cheese slice over this, cover it with bun and press lightly. Enjoy.
