Lemon rice / Chitranna / Phodni cha Bhaat is very simple and easy lemon flavored rice almost made is every house.Enjoy !
Ingredients
Lemon Rice
1 cup cooked Rice 1 onion (optional) Grated coconut
Seasoning
Oil 2-3 tsp
Mustard 3/4 tsp
urad dal 1 tsp
Chana dal 1 tsp
Green chillies-4-5(finely chopped)
Hing a pinch Turmeric-a pinch
Curry leaves -few
Salt to taste
Peanuts-few
Method
Cook Rice.Spread on a plate.Heat oil in a pan fry peanuts till brown take them out in a plate,next add mustard seeds, allow to splutter. Add turmeric powder and other seasoning items, fry for 2 minutes. add onion ,fry till golden brown.Next add the cooked rice , squeeze lemon juice and mix well. Add grated coconut and garnish with coriander leaves .Serve hot. (you can add peas,capsicum also )
