Karibevu Chitranna / Curry Leaves Rice Ver 2
IngredientsCooked rice: 1 cup
GrindingJeera: 1-2 tspPepper:1/2 tspUrad Dal-1 tsp
Curry leaves-handfulSeasoning-
peanuts: few
Cashews-fewHing-Pinch
oil for frying 3-4 tsp
Mustard -1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Chana dal-1/2 tsp
Grated coconut: 2-3 tbsp
Salt:for tasteMethod- Pressure cook rice and spread it on plate to cool. In a kadai, roast curry leaves ,jeera, fry urad dhal, black pepper, in little oil. Next grind curry leaves, jeera, pepper into a powder. Take a kadai, heat oil and add peanuts /cashews and fry well. Keep it aside . Add mustard,chana dal urad dal, hing, and sauté. Add the curry leaves mixture and fry for1-2 mins. Next add the rice, salt ,fried peanuts coconut and mix well and serve Karibevu Chitranna hot.

Kabul Chana Cabbage Chitranna
Kabul Kadle Cabbage Chitranna is a healthy one pot meal made from the Kabul chana/chickpea
(Chole Chana) blended in spices, simply healthy , perfect and nutritious. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 1/2 cup Kabul Kadle
- (pressure cooked with salt)
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- Turmeric pwd-pinch
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp groundnut
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp chana dal
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1-2 tsp Bhath Masala pwd
- 1-2 tbsp fresh Coconut
- Hing-pinch
- Curry leaves-few
- salt to taste
Method-
Cook the rice and spread it on a plate.
Cook the chana well.
Next in a pan, heat oil, fry shredded cabbage and keep it aside .
Next add mustard , once done, add jeera, chana dal, uraddal, curry leaves , turmeric , hing and fry .
Add the bhath pwd , salt , cabbage and mix .
Next add the cooked rice,cooked chana and mix well.
Simmer on low heat for 10 mins till all the rice,chana is blended well with the spices.
Serve hot with raita of your choice.

Gorikayi Aloo Masala Bhath / ClusterBeans Aloo Masala Rice is spicy rice variety An easy one pot meal made with gavar/cluster beans with roasted potatoes and homemade bhath masala powder.Nutritious and healthy.

Sandige Chitranna
Sandige Chitranna is an easy seasoned rice variety with crushed sandige/ crisps added to it. Kids will definitely love it. Chitranna is a favorite South Indian Rice variety, you can make variety of chitranna aka one pot meal. This is a very simple one.
Ingredients:
Sandige Rice |
- 1 cup rice (cooked)
- 1/4 cup fresh coconut(grated)
- Seasoning
- 1 tsp channa dal
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 6-7 cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- Hing pinch
- Sandige- 6-7 fried
- Red chilly-1 (opt)
- few Curry leaves
- Few coriander leaves
- Oil-2 tbsp
Method:
Fry Sandige well. Keep it aside.
Allow the rice to cool, spread it on a plate. Next heat oil in kadai, roast cashews and peanuts and keep it aside, next add the other items in seasoning, roast well, add sarin pudi and fry, add the rice to this seasoning.Add the grated coconut, salt, cashews and peanuts and mix well.
Saute for 1-2 mins..Crush them and add to the rice. Garnish the rice with coriander leaves.
Serve Sandige Chitranna hot.

Hurlikayi Batani Bhath / Green Beans Peas Rice
Hurlikayi Batani Bhath / Green Beans Peas Rice is spicy rice variety.
An easy one pot meal made with green beans and soft peas blended with masala powder.
Hurlikayi Batani Bhath |
- 1 cup Cooked Rice
- 1 cup chopped green beans(hurlikayi)
- 1/2 cup steamed peas
- salt as per taste
- Grated coconut-2 tsp
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard(sasive)
- 1/2 tsp chana dal
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 2-3 tbsp Bhath Masala pwd
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- Roasted cashews-Few
- Turmeric pwd-pinch
- Hing-pinch
Allow the rice to cool,spread it on a plate.Heat oil in a kadai.
Add mustard seeds,turmeric, curry leaves, hing,chana dal,urad dal.
Once done add chopped green beans to the above seasoning.
Saute frequently till.Next add salt, cashews, masala powder. Mix well.
Add the cooked rice. Mix well.
Cover and cook on low heat.
Granish with grated coconut.Serve hot.

Hurikadle Capsicum Rice
Capsicum Bhath with Hurikadle / Capsicum Rice is easy and perfect one pot meal. Stir fried capsicum blended with bhath powder and hurikadle in rice tastes delicious.
Enjoy with raita /papad.
Ingredients:Capsicum Rice with Hurikadle |
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup stir fried capsicum (Simla Mirch)
- 1/2 tsp. mustard
- 1/2 tsp.chana dal
- 1/2 tsp. urad dal
- Hing-Pinch
- Curry leaves-few
- Turmeric pwd-pinch
- 2 tbsp. oil
- Green Chilies-1-2
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp. Bhath Powder
