Bhindi Masala is a delicious combination for Indian breads. It can be made in variety of ways. This is the marinated version. Bhindi is Lady's finger in English.
- 1 cup bhindi
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tomato chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp dhania jeera powder
- 1/2 Garam Masala
- few coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 2-3 tbsp Oil
- Salt
- Thick Curds-2 tbsp
To Marinate
Besan-1/2 cup
Red Chili pwd- 1tsp
Salt- for taste
- Method- First marinate bendi using besan, red chilly powder and salt and mix well so its coated well. Let it rest for 15-20 mins. Next in a kadai add oil and and saute marinated bendi. In another kadai, add oil add cumin, ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, saute well. Next add the masala powders, add tomato and mix well. Cook on low flame. Lastly add the fried bendi and let the mixture blend well. Add salt and mix, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Indian Breads or Rice.
