Beetroot Paratha

Beetroot Paratha  is an easy lunch box recipe for kids. Made from healthy finely grated Beetroot with simple wheat flour and mild spices. It is nutritious and tasty.

Beetroot Paratha

Ingredients:

  • Wheat Flour            - 1 cup
  • Beetroot                  - 1cup grated
  • Jeera/Cumin Seeds         - 1/2 tsp
  • Ajwain                     -1/2 tsp
  • Curd                       - 1-2  tbsp
  • Turmeric powder    - 1/4 tsp
  • Dhania Jeera pwd  -1/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala         - 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder          - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt                          for taste
  • Oil                           as req


Method: In a bowl combine all the ingredients with the flour, add yogurt and knead into smooth dough,add little water as req. Add oil and knead it again and keep it covered for sometime. Make parathas.Heat a skillet (tava) gently, put in the paratha, add oil, turn on both sides till done. Serve hot with pickle,sauce or curds.
