- Bread 10 slices
- (remove sides and cut into small pieces)
- Onion finely chopped 1
- Tomato finely chopped 1
- Capsicum finely chopped 1
- Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Hing a pinch
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Oil 3 tsp
- Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cumin -1/2 tsp
- Urad dal 1/2 tsp
- Chana dal 1/2tsp
- Curry leaves a sprig
- Peanut-2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves few
- Lemon juice-1 tsp
- Fresh grated coconut-1 tbsp
Method:
Add oil to pan fry peanut and keep aside next add mustard seeds, cumin, chana dal, urad dal, hing, curry leaves once done. Add onions and capsicum, tomatoes and fry. Add salt, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry for a couple of minutes. Add the bread pieces. Garnish with peanuts, chopped cilantro, coconut and lemon juice. Serve Bread Upma hot.
You can use any variety of vegetables (peas, corn ,grated carrot )
