Sweet Corn Bhel



Sweet Corn Bhel is quick and easy chaat recipe. Healthy, colorful and delicious too.



Sweet Corn Bhel
Corn Bhel
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sweet corn(steamed)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1-2 tsp green chutney
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd
  • 1/2 tsp tamrind chutney
  • 1 cup sev
  • few salted peanuts
  • Salt-for taste




Method

In a bowl, add the above ingredients-corn, tomato, onions, masala pwds chutneys and mix well.
Top it up with sev and salted peanuts and serve .






(you can garnish with lime juice and coriander leaves)

Corn Cheese Toast

Corn Cheese Toast is delicious. Enjoy this open sandwich as snack. Healthy and tasty. Kids will love it.


Ingredients

Corn Cheese Toast
Corn Cheese Toast
Bread - 6 slices 

Sweet corn - 3/4 cup (steamed)
Capsicum - 1 finely chopped
Tomato-1 finely chopped
Onion-1 finely chopped
Green chillies-3-4 finely chopped
Mozerella Cheese  - 2 tbsp
Pepper pwd - for taste
Salt - as required
Oil-for toast
Tomato sauce


Method- 


Mix the sweet corn,onions, tomatoes, capscicum, add chillies, cheese, salt and pepper and mix well. 

Keep it aside. 
Toast the bread slice crisp with oil/butter.  
Spread the filling on the bread. 
Microwave for 10-20 sec or till the cheese melts. 
Alternatively you can toast on tava.
Serve with tomato sauce.
Enjoy hot.

Corn Methi Pulao

Corn Methi Pulao healthy combination of greens (fenugreek leaves ) and sweet corn,highly nourishing.Enjoy!


Ingredients

Corn Methi Pulao
1 cup basmati rice
1/2 cup sliced onions

3/4 cup (methi) leaves chopped
1/2 cup sweet corn
2-3 black pepper
1/2 tsp jeera
1/2 cinnamon
2 cloves
2 cardamoms
1/2 tsp green chillies
finely chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp curds
salt to taste


Method
Wash the rice and keep aside.Heat the butter and oil in a pressure cooker/pan add the pepper,cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and sauté for 1 min.Add the onions and sautéNext add the fenugreek leaves, corn kernels and sauté for 1 minute.Add the rice and 2 cups of hot water, salt, turmeric powder, green chillies and stir for a few seconds.Pressure cook  for 2 whistles. Serve hot with raita of your choice.

Sweet Corn

Sweet Corn

 

Sweet Corn blended with butter and chaat masala is very simple and easy recipe, kids will enjoy it.


Ingredients

  • Sweet Corn - 1 cup
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Chat Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste


Method-


Boil water, add sweet corn, salt and let it cook for 10 mins.

Add butter, mix well and serve hot.





(Alternative-In case you have frozen corn, microwave
as per instructions and add butter and chaat masala)

Potato Cheese Corn Roll

Potato Corn Cheese Crisps is yummy rich snack which kids will  enjoy. The corn and melted cheese is very tasty.

Ingredients
Potato Cheese Corn Crisps
3-4 boiled and grated potatoes
1 cup steamed sweet corn
1/2 cup of grated cheese
1/2 tsp Pepper pwd
1/2 tsp Dhania jeera pwd
1/2 tsp chaat masala
2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
2 green chilies finely chopped
3-4 bread slices
bread crumbs
salt to taste 
Oil for deep frying

Method-Mix mashed potatoes,corn,grated cheese,masala pwd,salt.Dip bread in little water,squeeze ,add it to the mix,shape into small balls or any shape you like , pat it accordingly.
Dip it on bread crumbs or chiroti rava.Set it for some time.Heat oil in a vessel , slowly slide in,deep fry the crisps on medium flame till they are golden brown in color. Remove on tissue/absorbent paper to remove any  excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup .

Tomato Corn Salad

Corn and tomato makes a nice salad combination. Toss it with various spices and enjoy.


Ingredients

  •  Tomato - 1 cup (baby tomatoes)
  • Sweet corn-1 cup (steamed)
  • Onion- 1/2 cup chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tsp
  • Green chilies-2-3 finely chopped
  • Few Coriander leaves Chopped - 2 tsp
  • Chaat masala-1 tsp
  • Pepper pwd-1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste

Method -In a large bowl, mix the corn, tomatoes and onion. Add salt, pepper pwd, chaat masala ,chillies and lime juice and mix and toss well.Serve.

  •  Corn Potato Sandwich is simple easy and tasty made from sweet corn and mashed potatoes with dash of chaat masala.Kids will love it.

  • Cheese (if req)


  • Method
  • Mix steamed corn and grated potatoes with salt and chaat masala.Apply butter and green chutney on the bread,spread the corn mix on the bread(you can add cheese over the vegetable mix),keep another slice over it.Grill the sandwich. Serve hot with ketchup and chutney.

Corn Patties

Corn Patties is made from corn blended with spices and potatoes, is a delicious , healthy and nutritious evening snack recipe. Kids will love it too.


Corn Patties,snacks,chutney,kiddies
Corn Patties
Ingredients:

1/2 Cup corn kernels (steamed)
2 Potato boiled & mashed
1 onion finely chopped
1 capsicum finely chopped
1 carrot grated
1 tsp Jeera
2 tsp Garam masala pwd
1 tsp Chaat masala

Bread crumbs-
3-4 Green Chillies
Salt as per taste
Oil for frying


Method:

Grind sweet corn with green chillies into a paste.Next add the remaining vegetables,spices salt and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them as patties. Roll it over bread crumbs or chiroti rava.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the kebabs,
keep flipping it over until it turns brown and crisp.
Serve hot with chutney or sauce/ketchup.
 (you can add few cut bread pieces in case you are unable to  bind the mixture )

Carrot Corn Salad

Carrot Corn salad recipe is simple and easy to prepare.Very Healthy and nutritious and colorful kids will love it.



Ingredients:

1 cup grated carrot (about 2 medium)
1/2 cup  sweet corn (steamed)
1 tbsp. grated, coconut (opt)
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. chopped, coriander
5-6 finely finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp. oil
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
1/4 tsp urad dal
1/4 tsp chana dal
Hing-pinch
Salt to taste

Method:
Combine grated carrot, coconut, corn, lemon juice and salt in a medium sized bowl.
Mix well and set aside. Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,curry leaves and hing once done add chopped chillies and fry a few seconds. Add this seasoning to the salad.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve. Add freshly grated coconut (opt)
