Yogurt Bun Sandwich


Masala Bun with yogurt filling. It is a simple and healthy sandwich which can be easily done. Fresh and tasty with a right mix of vegetables blended in thick curds and masalas. Perfect for kids.

Ingredients:
  • Masala Bun
  • Butter
  • 1cup thick yogurt
  • 1/4 cup tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup cucumber
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1/4 capsicum 
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala/Sandwich masala
  • few coriander leaves
  • 1-2 green chilies-opt
    Method -Finely chop the vegetables. Next in a bowl add all the ingredients and mix with thick curds Slice the bun into two. Apply butter on bun add the filing on the bread ,top with another bun. Grill the bun sandwich on the toaster. Serve Yogurt Bun Sandwich hot with ketchup or chutney.

    Capsicum Sandwich-2


    Capsicum Sandwich-2 : eat it as snack or at picnics. Everyone loves it. Simple and easy. Simple lunch box recipe for kids.

    Ingredients:
    • Bread
    • Butter 
    • capsicum-finely chopped
    • Pepper pwd for sprinkling
    • salt
    • italian seasoning






    Green Chutney:
    • 4-5 green chillies, chopped 
    • Coriander leaves,Mint
    • Fresh grated coconut -1/2 cup
    • Roasted gram dal-hurikadle
    • 1 tsp. tamarind paste
    • Salt to taste

    Method: Grind all the chutney ingredients to a smooth paste with little water. Keep aside.

    Remove the edges of the bread slices, apply butter, apply green chutney, mix capsicum with salt, italian seasoning and add onto the bread. Add some pepper powder. Apply butter, chutney and on 
    another bread slice,  place this on top layer. 

    Toast it and Cut it in any shape and serve.

    Potato Cheese Sandwich

    Potato Cheese Sandwich is simple and easy to make. Enjoy as a quick snack or mini dinner.

    Ingredients
      • 2 cups boiled grated potatoes
      • Cheese slice-4
      • 3-4  green chilies–chopped finely
      • Sandwich masala or Chaat masala
      • 8 Bread slices 
      • Butter
      • Salt
      • Green Chutney
      • Ketchup
      • Tomato, onion, capsicum slices
        Method: Prepare the potato stuffing, add salt, sandwich masala, chilies, mix well.

        Take bread, apply butter and  green chutney, smear the potato stuffing, top it up with the slices of vegetables, add some chaat masala, cover with another chutney-butter spread bread. 

        Grill in toaster. 

        Serve this sandwich hot with chutney or ketchup.

        Stir fried Onion

        Stir fried Onion with besan is an easy dry sabzi for chapati or rice. Here Onion is sautéed well with roasted gram flour and spices making it tasty and delicious.


        Ingredients

        • Onion-2 big finely chopped
        • Gram flour (besan) 3 Tbsp (roasted ).   
        • Oil 3 Tbsp
        • Coriander powder 2 Tsp
        • Red chili powder-1-1.5 tsp
        • salt to taste

        Seasoning
        • Oil 2 Tsp
        • Mustard seeds 1 Tsp
        • Cumin seeds 1 Tsp
        • Hing -Pinch
        • Urad Dal 1/2 tsp
        • Chana Dal 1/2 tsp


        Method

        Heat oil for in a frying pan over moderate heat. Add items mentioned in seasoning. Once done add onion and sauté for 1 - 2 min.Add roasted gram flour, oil, coriander powder, red chili pwd and salt in a bowl.Add to onion and stir-fry over low heat for 5 - 7 minutes till onions are coated well. Serve hot with chapati or rasam rice.
