Rajma Masala

Rajma Masala (Rajma aka red kidney beans ) is a famous Indian spicy gravy enjoyed almost by everyone.Very tasty and delicious.Of course nutritious and healthy too.

1 cup Rajma (kidney beans)

Rajma Masala
(soaked and boiled)
1 cup chopped tomato
2-3 tsp oil
1/2 cup grated onions
Cumin /Jeera  - 1 tsp
1-2 green chillies
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp Dhania Jeera Pwd
1/2 tsp red chili pwd
Fresh Cream-1/2 tsp (opt)
Kasuri Methi-1tsp
salt to taste

Method-Heat the oil in a kadai, add the onions and sauté  for 2 to 3 mins.Next add ginger garlic paste,chilies and fry well.Add the chopped tomatoes,cook till it becomes soft.Add the masala pwds and mix.Next add the cooked rajma.Add salt,cook on low heat till the sabzi blends well.Once it starts to boil, add fresh cream,keep stirring,cook on simmer for 5-10 min.Serve hot with Indian Breads or Jeera Rice.
